Europaträume

Europaträume engages the European territory as a field of accumulated transformations, where architecture operates through reuse, overlap, and incremental modification. Yet it also names a space of contradiction and exhaustion. Europe operates within a closed, overregulated, and overhistorized imaginary, unable to project present or future conditions. Transformation persists only as ideology, while stagnation becomes the default condition. This is not a crisis, but a stable trauma.

The work is presented through nine projects that focus on interfaces: points where systems connect, transfer loads, negotiate tolerances, and produce new conditions of use.

Projects presented
  • Floresta (structures of collapse)
  • Sintra (plug-in infrastructure)
  • Orri (mixed typologies)
  • Bregenz (parasitic para-infrastructures)
  • Barracas I (landlord camouflage)
  • Barracas II (landlord buried camouflage)
  • Jesús (displacing systems)
  • Bassal (hypersailing infrastructure)
  • Opañel

p0

p0 is an architecture studio based in Barcelona.
They understand construction as an hypothesis and the result as an open process of experimentation. Theory and application as mutually dependent, each reinforcing and challenging the other.
The practice works through attachment: adding, grafting, and inserting new systems into existing conditions. Form is not a predefined objective but the result of iterative processes shaped by experimentation and critical inquiry. The project is somehow a prototype.

Operating across architecture and its peripheries, p0 situates its practice within a broader contemporary context, seeking responses that extend beyond disciplinary boundaries.
